How to Fix Sign-In Hang on the Appodeal AdMob Sync App (a Desktop App) on Windows
So I tried to sync my ads inventory and update to the latest Appodeal AdMob Sync App, but I got stuck due to a sign-in bug as shown on the screen. To fix the issue, I tried the following steps: reinstalling the app, logging in and out, and resetting the Appodeal password — nothing helped.
Solution
Cause of problem - broken data in Admob Sync folder located in Roaming folder :
C:\Users\<Your_User>\AppData\Roaming\AdMob Sync
e.g. on my pc C:\Users\Dev\AppData\Roaming\AdMob Sync
Roaming Folder
This folder can be synced with a server and contains a lot of your browser settings, log files, and more. If you're looking to backup your application settings, this is the only folder of the three that's of any use to you.
Fast access to Roaming Folder
%APPDATA% in windows explorer
Steps
Step 0 : Exit from Admob Sync App
In tray click on Appodeal Sync App icon and select Quit in pop up menu.
Step 1 : Open windows explorer
Step 2 : Enter %APPDATA% in address bar and press Enter
Step 3 : Find and delete folder Admob Sync
Step 4 : Run Admob Sync App
Step 5 : Enter Appodeal account login and password
Step 6 : Make Admob Account Sign In
Step 7 : Make Admob Account Sync
Result : Success !
